The Royal at Atlantis Bahamas has two towers, the East and West towers, connected by the famous Bridge Suite. They form one hotel, The Royal, within the larger Atlantis Paradise Island resort. If you are choosing where to stay, compare The Royal with The Coral, The Cove, The Reef and Harborside Resort rather than treating each Royal tower as a separate hotel.
For most families, the useful question is what you want close to your room: the main resort attractions, Marina Village, a beach-focused setting or more residential space. I would choose around that daily routine before deciding which building looks most impressive in a photograph.
My firsthand experience at Atlantis and Baha Mar
Over the past 20 years, I have made more than 30 visits to Atlantis and Baha Mar combined. At Atlantis, I have stayed in every tower and almost every room category, and I have been inside every room category. My experience includes day passes, stays lasting weeks, group trips, girls’ trips, mother-and-son trips and mother-and-daughter trips.
My Atlantis stays have included Imperial, Ocean View and Harbor View accommodations. At Baha Mar, I have stayed in Fountain View and Ocean View rooms with different setups, including Juliet balconies, regular balconies and windows. Those are firsthand stays, not just room tours.
View and usable outdoor space are separate booking questions. I compare the exact category description, sleeping layout and balcony setup rather than assuming an “Ocean View” label answers all three.
That is why I look beyond which hotel photographs best. What works for a girls’ trip can feel very different when you are traveling with your child or settling in for a longer stay. I use that firsthand perspective to help you compare the location and room setup with the vacation you actually want.
How many towers and hotels are at Atlantis Bahamas?
The Royal’s two towers are not the total number of hotels at Atlantis. The resort currently lists five accommodation choices: The Royal, The Coral, The Cove, The Reef and Harborside Resort. Hotel names and physical building counts are different things, which is why search results can seem contradictory.
Atlantis describes the Bridge Suite as spanning the East and West wings of The Royal. This guide concerns Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, not Atlantis The Royal in Dubai.

Start with The Royal if being near the recognizable heart of Atlantis matters more than having a quieter retreat. Its location makes it a natural starting point for families planning to spend much of their time around the main attractions. The official Royal page describes its accommodation choices; the actual category and room placement matter more than simply requesting an East or West tower.
A view label is not a promise of a particular floor or short walk. If anyone has mobility limitations, ask about the route from the room to the places you will use daily. Avoid choosing solely by a photograph of the exterior.

The Coral: consider the marina-side location
The Coral is worth comparing when your evenings will include Marina Village and you want a different price point from the other hotels. Compare live totals rather than assuming it will always be the least expensive choice. Dates, room categories and offers can change the order.

The Reef: prioritize how the room will function
The Reef is a useful option when you want residential-style space and a beach-focused base. The official Reef overview positions it around the comforts of home. Check the specific studio or suite description before assuming it has the kitchen setup, separate bedroom or sleeping arrangement you need.

The Cove: suites and a more elevated stay
The Cove is the hotel to compare when an ocean-view suite and a more elevated accommodation experience are priorities. Its official hotel page highlights the suite setting and exclusive amenities. Do not confuse an adults-only pool with an adults-only hotel: pool eligibility and hotel guest policies are separate questions.
If you are traveling as a couple, consider whether you want a quiet room, an adult pool setting or both. For a family, consider which amenities the children can actually use. Review The Cove review and The Reef versus The Cove rather than choosing on luxury language alone.
Harborside and older references to The Beach
Harborside appears in Atlantis’s current accommodation collection and deserves consideration if its marina-side, villa-style setup fits your party. Request the exact unit description, transport arrangements and resort-access terms on the rate you are comparing.
Older Atlantis articles may include The Beach in their lists. Use the current official accommodation collection and booking availability when planning, rather than treating every historical hotel name as a current option.

Compare the complete cost and access, not just the room rate
Atlantis is not a traditional all-inclusive resort. Review the exact reservation for taxes, resort fees, dining credits or plans and activity access. Do not assume a meal offer covers every restaurant or that access to the resort includes every paid experience.
