Adults-Only Disney Wish Cruise – Moms’ Getaway Guide (No Kids Needed)
Updated for 2026: Disney Cruise Line offerings and onboard details can change. If you’re planning based on a specific sailing.
Disney cruises aren’t just for families – they’re a dream getaway for adults who want sunshine, downtime, and a little Disney magic without the little ones in tow. If you’ve ever wondered what a moms’ escape on Disney Wish looks like, here’s exactly how ours went… and why we’re already planning the next one.
If you’re in planning mode, start here: Disney Cruise Line planning help.
Why Disney Wish Works So Well for Adults
When most people hear Disney Cruise Line…
From the moment we left our houses, we were instantly reminded how necessary it is for us busy, hard-working moms to take some time to ourselves to relax and reset. There were no tiny suitcases hitting our heels, no airport bathroom breaks or chasing kids down hallways. (Sure – we missed them. But dare I say that it is liberating to actually put yourself first, as mom, for the first time in, well, forever?!)
Adults-Only Spaces on Disney Wish
No meltdowns. No bedtimes. No alarms. Just sunshine, laughter, and sisterhood. The kind that leaves you wanting more!
Quick planning note: If you want to understand the value difference on a Disney sailing, here’s my simple breakdown of what’s included in a Disney cruise.

The Perfect Stateroom Set-Up – Deluxe Oceanview Rooms for Adults on Disney Wish
We booked two connecting Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs, and it was honestly the perfect setup. Everyone had their own space to sleep, get ready, and unpack, but we could open the connecting door — and even the verandah divider — to turn it into one big shared suite. It felt like the best of both worlds: our own cozy retreats and a shared space for morning coffee and late-night laughter.
A quick tip: these connecting staterooms sell out early on peak sailings, so it’s always best to reserve 6-9 months before departure to secure adjoining rooms.

Our Bahamian Port Days: Nassau & Castaway Cay For Adults
We decided to skip the crowds and spend our Nassau port day at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, one of my favorite luxury resorts in The Bahamas, perfect for a girl’s day! If you want to compare resort options, my Baha Mar hub is here: Baha Mar resort guide.
Picture this: infinity pools overlooking turquoise water, tropical cocktails in hand, and four beachfront loungers calling our names. We talked, we laughed, and we didn’t have to chase a single child through the splash pad. Le sigh. It was the perfect adult escape, and so easy to do — a quick taxi from port and we were there. The next day we docked at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, and after enjoying a (rare, still hot) cup of coffee at the Quiet Cove rooftop pool, we headed straight to Serenity Bay, the adults-only beach. (Yes, we bypassed all the families with kiddos!)
For first-timers, Serenity Bay is located on the far side of the island and can be reached via the free tram – just stay onboard past the first family stop.
Think: white sand, crystal-clear water, and frozen drinks that somehow tasted better because there were no “Mom, watch this!” interruptions.
We stayed all day. We napped, we floated, we ate lunch barefoot in the sand, and we all agreed that this was the definition of vacation. It felt like the kind of adult vacation where you come home rested, not exhausted.

Here’s What Surprised Us Most
Even as a travel advisor who’s been on plenty of Disney cruises, I am always so impressed by how much there is for adults to enjoy:
- Elevated dining (don’t skip Palo Brunch – adults-only brunch option) [Confirm current policy before publishing]
- Incredible cocktails and lounges
- Mixology classes, tastings, and quiet deck corners made for conversation
- A spa that will make you want to move in permanently (Senses Spa — massages, facials, salon services)
- Adult-exclusive shows that leave you belly laughing
- Plush stateroom accommodations
- Split bathrooms, making it so easy for us ladies to get ready every day
- Spacious, connecting balconies made for fun mornings sipping coffee and chatting
Don’t get me wrong – we love and adore our families, but there were many moments where we mentioned how shocked we were at how many times we never even saw a kiddo in site! Yes, even on a Disney cruise!
And we weren’t alone — we met plenty of couples, girlfriends, and even solo travelers who were doing the exact same thing: enjoying the Disney magic, no kids required. We even noticed that several onboard events were primarily attended by adults, which was surprising in the best way. One little trip away reminded us just how good it feels to be taken care of, laugh way too hard, and remember that moms deserve magic too and that alone was worth the cruise.
Bottom line: We loved it so much that… we’re doing it again! …And this time – you’re invited!
That’s right — a Ladies Disney Cruise is officially in the works for next year, and you’re invited to join us.
