I Planned a Walt Disney World Vacation for 30 Women…And Here’s What Happened

WE HAD THE ABSOLUTE TIME OF OUR LIVES!

I mean…30 women + Disney World + Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival…how can you not have the best. time. ever?!

On September 27, 2018 I headed to Orlando with several friends and family members where we would eventually meet up with 20+ other ladies at the happiest place on Earth! We de-planed, boarded Disney’s Magical Express and were on our way to a girl’s weekend we would never forget.

We stayed at the newly renovated (and might I add – FABULOUS) Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and were in heaven the second we checked in. The Spanish details of the columns and roofing, southwest themed-decor, the lakeside bar, the gorgeous and peaceful walk to our rooms – I knew I was in love the second I stepped foot into the lobby. Seriously – Coronado Springs does not get the credit it deserves!

Our brand new rooms were laced in marble countertops and hardwood floors, and also featured a refrigerator, Keurig and two queen size beds, a desk, a lounge chair and a bathroom with fabulous lighting. Perfection for a few of us ladies!

We checked in, dropped our bags off in the rooms and headed straight to the pool for a few magical cocktails and fun poolside entertainment and Disney trivia. That evening, I set up a welcome party at Rix Sports Bar where I introduced everyone, we enjoyed drinks and appetizers and mingled with one another. Shortly after, we headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at the incredible African-themed restaurant, BOMA, which featured an incredible (& massive) all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet. And let’s just say we ate until we didn’t care.

The next three days were jam packed with incredible dining experiences, a two-park scavenger hunt, Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival, and park hopping all over each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

We shared bottomless birthday cake milkshakes at Plaza Inn, enjoyed adult beverages at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot, snagged prime spots at the Happily Ever After fireworks display at Magic Kingdom, explored the brand new Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios, rode on the backs of banshees in Animal Kingdom, took Minnie Vans all over Disney property, and so much more! I’ll let the video below do all the talking!

In a nutshell…we laughed way too hard, stayed up far too late, ate entirely too much and had more fun than most adults are supposed to have. You know what else we did? We made countless memories I will treasure forever! (And truth be told, while we all missed our kids and talked about them 90% of the time, not one of us regretted leaving them behind for some much needed girl time!)

I put together this fun video montage to commemorate our girl’s trip to Disney World – I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

And to the ladies who joined us this year, thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives, away from your family, and time away from work. Thank you for trusting me with your vacation. Thank you for helping me when times got crazy hectic in the parks. And most of all, thank you for creating these memories I will hold onto forever. I have made friendships I know will last a lifetime and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
