I Planned a Walt Disney World Vacation for 30 Women… And Here’s What Happened

WE HAD THE ABSOLUTE TIME OF OUR LIVES!

I mean… 30 women + Walt Disney World + EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival… how can you not have the best. time. ever?!

On September 27, 2018, I headed to Orlando with several friends and family members, where we eventually met up with 20+ other ladies at the happiest place on Earth. We deplaned, boarded Disney’s Magical Express, and were officially on our way to a girls’ weekend we would never forget.

We stayed at the newly renovated (and might I add — FABULOUS) Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and were in heaven the second we checked in. The Spanish-inspired details, the lakeside bar, the peaceful walkways — I knew I was in love the moment I stepped into the lobby. Seriously, Coronado Springs does not get the credit it deserves!

Our brand-new rooms featured marble countertops, hardwood floors, two queen beds, a desk, a lounge chair, and a bathroom with fabulous lighting. Absolute perfection for a group of girlfriends.

After checking in and dropping our bags, we headed straight to the pool for magical cocktails, fun poolside entertainment, and Disney trivia. That evening, I hosted a welcome party at Rix Sports Bar, where everyone met, mingled, and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.

Later that night, we headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at the incredible African-themed restaurant, BOMA. Let’s just say we ate until we didn’t care anymore.

The next three days were jam-packed with unforgettable dining experiences, a two-park scavenger hunt, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival, and park hopping across all four Walt Disney World theme parks — Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

We shared bottomless birthday cake milkshakes at Plaza Inn, enjoyed adult beverages in the Mexico Pavilion, snagged prime spots for Happily Ever After fireworks, explored Toy Story Land, rode banshees in Pandora, and zipped around Disney property using Minnie Vans.

I’ll let the video below do all the talking:

In a nutshell — we laughed too hard, stayed up too late, ate way too much, and made memories I will treasure forever. And while we missed our kids (and talked about them constantly), not one of us regretted taking some much-needed girl time.

To the incredible women who joined us — thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your vacation, for your patience during the crazy moments, and for the friendships that came from this trip. I cannot wait to do it all over again.
